“WHY AND HOW TO CONSUME MORINGA? – DEVELOPMENT OF A MORINGA SECTOR IN PERU

Since 2019, Kinomé is engaged in a project of deployment of Moringa sector in the region of Piura, in the North of Peru, alongside the GoodPlanet Foundation and the Peruvian NGO PROGRESO.

 

Kinomé brought its experience of several years on the sector in Togo with technical assistance on the transformation of Moringa into powder, or on the communication of the benefits of the plant. Indeed, the benefits of Moringa are still only partially known by the population.

 

The project, which ends at the end of the month, will have produced and planted thousands of Moringa plants in more than fifty producers and associations, planted in agroforestry systems, with banana, citrus or cocoa trees, or planted in dry forest areas, a degraded ecosystem in the region. Our partner Progreso ensured the production of the plants and the technical trainings to the farmers receiving these plants.

On June 22nd at 11pm (4pm in Peru), Kinomé animated a last webinar to spread the benefits of Moringa to the general public and Peruvian consumers! An interactive format with questions and recipe videos, whose objective is to dispel some myths around moringa, and to communicate on the ways to consume it.
